We had a great playoff for the World Series title this year and the right teams made it to the end and the right team won the series. It became evident in mid season that Milwaukee had it going on but you had to see them play to understand why they were the best.

Those two bookend seasons do to baseball what they do to the rest of life. They temper the free swinging relatively carefree days of Summer with glimpses of the vulnerability of early and later life when it’s not so hot. Therefore, teams like the Brewers and Rays are suitably assembled for the stretch run. Aaron Ashby,Abner Uribe, and Trevor Megill make sense, especially when you team them up with a fired up, experienced catcher like William Contreras. Pat Murphy did not emerge into the national baseball head space as being as valuable as he is until the series was over. He’s the manager of the year every year until he quits because he allows players to perform at their best while accepting nothing less. It was a joy to watch Christian Yelich become the captain that he is. Cooper Pratt became a star before our eyes.
That was and is the good stuff. As for Polymarket and their professional whores Derek Jeter, Labron James and Spike Lee, go to Hell y’all. Draft Kings, Kalshi and the rest of you bloodsuckers, join them. Shameful hypocrisy and moneygrubbing on the part of MLB to “partner” with them while the late dickhead Pete Rose is still banned from the Hall of Fame. Major league Baseball, you didn’t need their money and it’s embarrassing that you took it. You probably all need that stuff that Megan Fox is selling.
Thanks to TV commercial buyers and sellers, we now know so much more about diseases and pharmaceutical ‘cures”. We need a famous university to perform a study of the possible link between those diseases and other products advertised on national television.
